Freeware. Really.

What I can offer today is the work itself: useful tools for your NAS, shared as freeware. All features are available free of charge. If they are useful to you, put them to work.

The bill comes to 0.00. That makes a change for a NAS owner.

Four ways, if you feel like it

If you would like to contribute, the options are below.

The easiest

Recommend Rtorrent 16

A like, a kind word or an honest review on the forum's download page. It takes a minute and helps the next person decide.

All it takes

Take part in the performance ranking

Add the QNAP Utilities repository to App Center, install StorageDiag Workbench & Utilities and run Benchmark this NAS! from its desktop. Results that pass the checks appear in the public CPU and memory rankings with details of your NAS model, processor and memory. The rankings never show a serial number or an IP address.

Support the project

You can contribute any amount through Revolut, or pay by card through Stripe, either once or monthly. Contributing does not change your access to the apps or the help available on the forum.

A cause close to my heart

For Tymon

My son Tymon has cystic fibrosis. On his page, I explain the condition and how you can help him, separately from supporting the apps.

And if you'd rather not do any of this, that's completely fine. The apps are yours to use either way.

Why freeware?

I use these tools on my own NAS too. I share them because the QNAP community, which I've been part of since 2008, has given me a lot: answers, bug reports and ideas.

Not everything comes for free, so I'll at least try to give something back with these tools and programs.

Thank you for every contribution, kind word and bug report. I am especially grateful for the help given to Tymon. And if you simply use these tools and find them useful, that means a lot too. That is why I make them.
