Rtorrent 16 is the BitTorrent client for your QNAP NAS: rtorrent 0.16 built from source for QTS 6 and QuTS hero, with ruTorrent and a Control Center of its own.

Bucket & Code Server IDE is the developer workshop for your QNAP NAS: Git with Forgejo, CI, versioned buckets, VS Code in the browser, and an App Builder that compiles recipes into QPKGs. Installed from App Center, like any other app.
An Agent Skill for Claude Code, Codex CLI and Gemini CLI. It tells the assistant what a QNAP NAS is before it answers: BusyBox instead of GNU tools, no systemd, settings behind getcfg and setcfg, and how QPKG packages are built and published.
Each one starts from the symptom that brought you here, then shows the
instrument that answers it. A throughput measurement is only worth anything with every
service stopped and confirmed idle, so that is how the disk ones are recorded.
Open App Center on your QNAP NAS and go to the repository settings
App Center→⚙ Settings→App Repository→Add
The gear is in App Center’s own title bar, top right. App Repository is the second tab of
the settings window.
Name it, paste the address, press Add

Refresh, then install from the new entry in the left rail

Press the refresh arrow in App Center’s bar (or wait a moment). QNAP Utilities appears
under the third-party repositories with every package on this site inside it. Install what you want;
updates arrive with the rest of your apps.

Is there a torrent client for QNAP NAS?
Yes: Rtorrent 16, rtorrent 0.16 with ruTorrent and its own Control Center, for QTS 6 and QuTS hero 6 on x86-64 and 64-bit ARM. rtorrent has run on QNAP since 2008, as rtorrent++, rtorrent-Pro, Rtorrent 15 and now Rtorrent 16.
How do I install apps from this site?
Add the repository once: App Center, Settings, App Repository, Add, name it QNAP Utilities and paste https://www.qnaputilities.com/repo.xml. The apps then appear under QNAP Utilities in the left rail, and App Center offers their updates.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Every app here is freeware: no licence key and no paid tier. The About page lists the ways to support the work.
Which NAS and firmware?
Rtorrent 16: QTS 6 or QuTS hero 6, on x86-64 · ARM64. ARM models need QTS 6, which QNAP has not released for them yet; 32-bit ARM is not supported.
StorageDiag: QTS 5.2.0 or newer and QuTS hero, on x86-64 · ARM64 · ARMv7.
Bucket & Code: QTS 6.0 or QuTS hero 6.0, or newer, on x86-64.
uname -m over SSH says which CPU build your NAS takes.
