What it does
Rtorrent 16 for iPhone is a client app for the Rtorrent 16 package on a QNAP NAS. It opens the package's panel from your own NAS on your iPhone, and it needs that NAS: without one, the app shows the pairing screen only.
- Pair once with the QR code from the panel (Security › Phone app). The app remembers your NAS's certificate and reaches the panel safely at home and away.
- Open a .torrent file in the app from Files or Mail, or tap a magnet link, and the panel's Add page opens with the category your NAS picks. You press Add.
- Share a .torrent file or a magnet link with Rtorrent 16 and it goes straight to your NAS. The share card says what was added.
- Notifications from your NAS tell you when a transfer is added or finished, when one fails and when a disk is full. Pause and Open sit on the notification.
The transfers run on your NAS, and the app downloads nothing to the iPhone.
